About This Place

Located in the heart of Fremont, A Plus HK Style Cafe is a delightful cha chaan teng that brings the vibrant flavors of authentic Hong Kong-style cuisine right to your table. This bustling cafe artfully blends the comforting classics of a traditional Hong Kong diner with a friendly, casual atmosphere that invites both longtime fans of Cantonese comfort food and curious newcomers alike.

The menu at A Plus HK Style Cafe is a treasure trove of beloved Hong Kong dishes, each crafted with attention to authenticity and bold flavors. One must-try is their Sliced Beef Rice Porridge, silky smooth with tender beef slices that melt in your mouth, perfect for a comforting start to your day. The Beef Stew Noodle Soup is rich and hearty, stewing tender beef in a fragrant broth that warms you from the inside out. If you're in the mood for something uniquely Hong Kong, the XO Sauce Pan Fried Rice Roll offers an exciting umami kick with the signature spicy and savory XO sauce coating the delicate rice rolls.

Seafood lovers will appreciate the Baked Creamy Fish with Rice, where flaky white fish meets a luscious baked cheese topping, while the Roast Goose serves up succulent, crisp-skinned poultry that rivals some of the best Hong Kong street vendors. For those who crave noodles with a sizzling twist, the Sizzling Black Pepper Beef Fried Spaghetti delivers a satisfying peppery bite, sizzling hot from the pan and fragrant with spices.

Hong Kong’s famous beverages also take the spotlight here, with their richly brewed Hong Kong Milk Tea standing out as a definitive favorite among patrons. Smooth, aromatic, and perfectly balanced between robust tea and creamy sweetness, it’s an authentic sip of home for many customers.

Customers consistently praise the value and variety offered by their daily combo sets, which pair any dish with a drink or soup, providing a convenient and satisfying lunch option. Many appreciate that their meals come pre-packaged in to-go containers, allowing easy transport without compromising freshness—a thoughtful touch for busy diners or anyone wanting to bring some of the cafe’s magic home.

The atmosphere at A Plus HK Style Cafe is warm and lively, echoing the hustle and bustle of a classic cha chaan teng. The casual, no-frills environment combined with attentive servers creates a welcoming space where the focus truly remains on the food. While portions tend to lean on the smaller side, the quality and depth of flavor more than make up for it, enticing visitors to return time and time again.

There are a few practical considerations to note: the cafe encourages cash payments due to a 3% surcharge on credit cards, and the use of plastic bowls and utensils is a part of the quick-service style. However, these minor details don’t detract from the overall experience, especially when the food arrives promptly, piping hot, and wonderfully flavorful.

Whether you’re craving comforting congee and noodles for breakfast, the satisfying savory notes of baked spaghetti, or an indulgent plate of roast goose in the evening, A Plus HK Style Cafe offers a genuine taste of Hong Kong’s eclectic culinary heritage. This Fremont gem captures not just the flavors, but the spirit of the Hong Kong dining scene—a perfect spot to satisfy cravings and savor authentic tastes in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Excellent lunch spot. There’s a combo for one if the dishes on the list and it comes with a drink or soup. Plenty of options. The baked pork chop is good, I saw alot of people eating spaghetti too. I got the black bean spare ribs over rice. The food is in to go containers already, makes it easy to ask for a cover and bring leftover home. There was a wait during lunch time and you have to put your party on the list, the wait is short though.

Excellent food, portions, and service. Very authentic and the food always comes out fast. The Hong Kong milk tea is one of our favorites in town. The specials are a great deal too and it's great that they're open so late.

Opens early, makes it a wonderful place to enjoy HK style breakfast : congee, noodles, rice roll, or the western breakfast, with a HK milk tea .

We like to come here to have our crave on Hong Kong cafe style food satisfied, even though we have to drive a long distance. And the price is very inexpensive. They have daily set menu with 4 choices that come with either a drink or soup of the day. Note that if you pay by credit card there will be a 3% additional charge. One thing I don't like is that they serve with all plastic bowls and utensils. The saving grace is that if you need to take you leftover home, they just need to give you a lid.

Went on a Sunday. Tiffany is great. She is very customer oriented and very caring. Always check on you. Their milk tea and the cold lemon tea are to die for. Food is good value. The only issue I have is they use disposables food wares but it’s to be expected if you want to keep the place low staffed and cost friendly. This place opens at 8am. Perfect for early am folks.

A+ For delicious Cantonese diner food served by expediently amiable staff surrounded by Cantonese conversations and laughter around the room. A++ for one of the best HK milk tea in the Bay. The disposable containers …. are nice looking. I will reuse them. Also they helped me skipped a step since I never finish an entire entree.

Authentic Hong Kong style Cafe open late night until 12:00 a.m. My late night favorites are XO noodles chow fun , pork chop w spaghetti and club sandwich. Specials come with a drink, lemon tea or milk tea. Bring your Hong Kong friend. They will feel nostalgic ! They only accept cash.
